When it’s strawberry season, we go pick bunches of these beautiful red, sweet berries for pies. Bursting with strawberry flavor this old-school recipe is best with peak-season strawberries. I borrowed this recipe from the classic pie at Sugaree’s Bakery in New Albany, Mississippi. Lots and lots of strawberries in our flakey pie crust and topped with a generous portion of fluffy whipped cream.
